A working Farm

The venue is surrounded by picturesque hazelnut orchards, grazing land for a herd of beef cattle and the wine grapes of Postlewait’s Vineyards.

Herd of Herefords

The herd goes back many cow generations all raised and grass fed by farm owners Gary and Carolyn Postlewait. A true cow calf operation, baby calves are welcomed every spring and can often be spotted frolicking in the pastures.

Hazelnut Farming

35 of the 80 acre farm is planted to hazelnuts. Also known as Filberts, the many tons of nuts grown on the farm end up in domestic candies and are sold all over the world! Oregon is one of the premiere places on the planet for Hazelnut growth and it has become a passion for the Postlewait Family.

Wine grape farming

As part of the permitting process, the family planted 15 acres of wine grapes to comply with land use laws and legally have Weddings & Events. The Vineyards have evolved into Whiskey Hill Winery where you can now taste the fruits of our labor in The Whiskey Hill Tasting Room.
